Long green necklace (34 inches)  of two shades of green round beads.  The deeper green beads are chrysoprase (8 mm);  the more translucent lighter green beads are aventurine.  The  aventurine  beads are both 6 and 8 mm in diamter. The necklace is interspersed with 4 mm 14K gold-filled rondelles and has a 14K gold-plated safety box clasp (14 x 9 mm) with oriental lettering. The necklace is hand-knotted on silk. Chrysoprase is a gemstone with a beautiful translucency and is a birthstone for May.  Green aventurine is a form of quartz and is also a gemstone.
